Michael Eisman
Michael
Eisman, M.D. is board certified by the American Board
of Internal
Medicine and the American Board of Holistic Medicine. He is a
graduate of the University of Miami School of Medicine and had
his residency training in internal medicine at
Syracuse University. He
has completed a fellowship in Biopsychosocial Medicine at the
University of Rochester and was the medical director
for Schuyler
Hospital and Cayuga Medical Center's integrative
medicine programs.
Currently
Dr. Eisman is the medical director for the Seneca View Nursing
Facility, Schuyler ARC, as well as the school physician for the
South Seneca School District. He also maintains a private
practice in Schuyler Country.
Dr.
Eisman has studied acupuncture, homeopathy,
anthroposophic medicine
and polarity therapy. Despite
all this he still maintains he has a semblance of a sense of
humor.

Richard
Farnham
Richard
Farnham, P.T., L.M.T., is a physical therapist with 32 years
of experience. He is a 1974 graduate of Ithaca
College P.T. School
and in 2006, graduated from the Finger Lakes School of Massage.
Mr. Farnham’s work experience has included hospitals and
private practices in California and New York State, including
Ithaca College Health Center, Robert Sprauge P.T.,
Tompkins Community
Hospital (now Cayuga Medical Center), and Hospital for Special
Surgery in NYC. Since 1985, he has owned and operated his own
private practice in Ithaca, NY.
Mr.
Farnham specializes in an integrated manual approach for the
treatment of adaptive dysfunction
affecting the spine, extremities,
cranium, visceral system, and balance of the nervous system.
His expertise in the evaluation and treatment of
complex/confusing
symptom pictures through his understanding of the contextual
relationships
between the various systems of the body.
The
treatment modalities he employs are myofascial
release, cranio-sacral
therapy, positional
release technique, visceral manipulation,
and the Chinese elemental theory as related to the
fascial/connective
tissue system of the human body.

Dr.
Amanda Hicks Fey
Amanda
Hicks Fey is a Naturopathic Doctor who is excited
about offering
Naturopathic Medicine as an alternative form of health care to
our community. She enjoys working with patients of all ages,
offering nutrition and natural health services for a variety
of health concerns and complaints. Her special
interests include,
but are not limited to, natural family medicine, cardiovascular
concerns, allergies, digestive complaints,
women’s health,
and cancer support. She views each person as a unique individual,
and she is dedicated to educating patients on natural ways to
achieve optimal health and allowing them to take an active role
in their health care decisions.
Dr.
Fey graduated from Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA and the
National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, OR. She
is a board certified, licensed general health care doctor in
the state of Oregon. She is currently a member of the New York
Association of Naturopathic Physicians (NYANP).
Before attending
medical school, Dr. Fey was very active in scientific research
where she was involved in projects helping to restore the oak
tree population in West Virginia, as well as research involving
plant molecular biology at Cornell University. Her
work is published
in several scientific journals.
In
her spare time, Dr. Fey enjoys running and biking,
spending time
outdoors, experimenting with cooking, and traveling. But most
importantly, she enjoys spending time with her husband
and daughter.

Paula
Fitzsimmons
Paula
Fitzimmons, P.A. received a Bachelor's of Science
degree in Human
Development and Family Studies from Cornell
University. She
did her Physician Assistant training at Yale
University.
Paula
is experienced in using bioidentical natural hormones
and believes
strongly in the role of nutrition in health, as well as working
with nutriceuticals and diet for not just many health problems
but also for one's general wellness.
For
the past 18 years Paula has practiced a combination of family
medicine and internal
medicine, with a special interest in woman's
health. She
lives in beautiful Hector on a farm with her husband Phil and
their two children. |

Dr.
John-Paul Mead
John-Paul
Mead, an Ithaca native, grew up in a family serving Ithacas
health care needs. His grandmother was a nurse at Cayuga Medical
Center, his mother is a physical therapist and massage therapist,
and his aunt practices homeopathy. From the time he was a young
boy attending East Hill Elementary School, he has wanted to live
in Ithaca and work alongside his family. Moving back to Ithaca in
July of 2001 to work as a physician is the fulfillment
of a lifelong
dream.
After
graduating from Ithacas Alternative Community
School, John-Paul
received a B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder with
a double major in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology
and Biochemistry. John-Paul attended NYU Medical School
in New York
City where he was able to work with underserved
populations, doing
a large portion of his work at New York Citys prestigious
Bellevue Hospital. After graduating from NYU, John-Paul completed
his residency work in Internal Medicine at Cambridge Hospital, a
teaching affiliate of Harvard University. There again
his training
focused on bringing excellent quality primary care to people from
all walks of life.
John-Paul
now practices with Dr. Adam Law, an endocrinologist and
internist,
in downtown Ithaca. The humanistic approach Dr. Law
takes with all
of his patients is in keeping with John-Pauls deeply held
beliefs about how medicine should be practiced.
John-Paul
lives in Belle Sherman with his two young children and his wife
Eliza Van Cort, an acting teacher. His hobbies include
biking, gardening,
computing and most importantly spending time with his immediate
and extended family.

Dr.
Nancy B. Stewart
Nancy
B. Stewart, M.D., received her M.D. from the
University of Rochester
School of Medicine and Dentistry after graduating cum
laude from
Boston University with a B.A. in psychology. Following
a three-year residency in family practice at the University of
Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, she moved to Ithaca and worked in
solo practice in family medicine from 1985-2000. Since
that time she has been a partner at Cayuga Family
Medicine. She
completed a two-year fellowship in integrative medicine through
the University of Arizona in 2003. She
continues to practice
general family medicine, with special interest in preventive
medicine and nutrition.

Dr.
Ann Wang
Ann
Wang is a National Board Certified and New York State
Licensed acupuncturist
and a National Board Certified Chinese herbalist. She
has training
in both Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
Before coming
to the United States, she was a teaching physician at Shan Dong
University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (1980-1983),
then served
as Chief Medical Administrator of the State
Administration of Traditional
Chinese Medicine from 1983 to 1987 and currently serves
that group
as a consultant. She also served as deputy director of
the National
Association of Rehabilitation of China in Beijing from
1985 to 1987.
Ann
Wang is an adjunct professor at the Academy of
Traditional Chinese
Medicine.In the past few years, she directed the development of
the largest Traditional Chinese Medicine database in the US. The
database allows the integration of the finest aspects
of Traditional
Chinese medical diagnostic and treatment techniques
with conventional
medicine. The database has already been adopted into
major pharmacy
chain information systems, such as CVS and PharmaVite.
She received
her medical degree in Oriental medicine from Shandong University
of Traditional Chinese Medicine and her Ph.D. in
research advancement
in Oriental medicine from the College of Alternative
Medicine Research
Advancement. She specializes in pain reduction,
management of chronic
illness and women's health.

Neil
Weinberg
Neil
Weinberg is a New York State Licensed Acupuncturist and is also
board certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology by
the National
Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental
Medicine (NCCAOM).
He graduated from the New York College for Wholistic
Health Education
and Research in Syosset, New York. He has completed
advanced studies
at hospitals in China.
His
commitment to Chinese medicine grows out of previous training in
botany and a graduate degree in Environmental Science
from Antioch
University. His deep interest in the natural world resonates with
the Chinese philosophy of medicine, specifically the
energetic correspondences
between natural forces and human health.
Neil
has particular interest in pain management, stress
related ailments
and women's health. He has lectured widely on the
subject of Chinese
medicine at many locations including Wilson and Lourdes Hospitals
and the School of Nursing at Binghamton University; the
Falck Cancer
Center in Elmira; and Ithaca College and Cornell
University.
He
brings extensive experience in the collaborative healthcare model
to the Integrative Medicine Center working in Vestal at
Complementary
Medicine and Healing Arts and Lourdes Wellness Center, in Elmira
at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, and in Rochester at
Equipose.
He
utilizes a holistic approach, viewing each patient as a
unique individual,
requiring a custom tailored treatment. He has been in
private practice
in Ithaca since 1996.

Dr.
Susan Brown
A
medical anthropologist and certified nutritionist, Dr. Susan
E. Brown has consulted widely on socioeconomic,
cultural, educational
and health issues. She has taught in North and South American
universities and authored numerous academic and
popular articles.
Currently,
Dr. Brown directs the Osteoporosis
Education Project and the Nutrition Education and
Consulting
Service in Syracuse, NY. With the Osteoporosis
Education Project
she conducts primary research, lectures widely on osteoporosis
prevention and reversal, and teaches the use of a
holistic, natural
program for the regeneration of bone health. The
Nutrition Education
and Consulting Service (NECS) provides consulting, education,
research and lecture services for health professionals and the
public. Long-distance nutrition education consulting services
are offered via telephone as part of NECS.
In
addition to running a busy private practice, Dr. Brown serves
as consultant to various medical and industry groups including
Serammune Physicians Laboratory, Sterling, VA,
Technical Sourcing
International of Missoula, MT, and LaneLabs,
Allendale, NJ.
Dr.
Brown received her Ph.D. from the University of
Michigan in 1972
and is the recipient of two Fulbright-Hays Scholar Awards, an
Organization of American States Research Fellowship.
She is also
a member of Sigma Xi, the honorary Scientific
Research Organization
of North America.

Sondra
Hartmann
Sondra
Hartmann, a licensed massage therapist, has had a
full-time massage
therapy practice in Ithaca, New York since 1993. She
was certified
in therapeutic massage and hydrotherapy, with advanced training
in sports massage and shiatsu, at the Florida School of Massage
(Gainesville, Florida) in 1992.
Sondra
has been an instructor at the Finger Lakes School of Massage
since 1994. She is also an instructor at the Arizona School of
Integrative Studies in Clarkdale, Arizona. The areas
she teaches
include hydrotherapy, elder and pregnancy massage, shiatsu and
reflexology. In addition, she is a certified
aromatherapist.
Sondra
received her B.F.A. in Music from Ithaca College in 1984. She
worked for a number of years as a Montessori teacher
before studying
massage therapy. Her interests include holistic health care,
music, outdoor recreation and meditation.
